Wilderness and marine first aid certified, happily in business for 15 seasons.
Originally from Newfoundland, I spent my first years exploring the wild. My grandfather and great grandfather were also guides. I spent some time guiding portage adventures in Algonquin Park, northern Ontario as well. From one coast to another, I have a full appreciation of the natural beauty of the island while it still stands tall.
Along with my passion for the wilderness, I love to play music, write and do film. I have enjoyed working on local film projects as a locations scout.
I believe the west coast of Vancouver Island is one of the most amazing places on earth. To experience the beauty and power of the west coast is a day you will never forget. I offer truly unique and precious adventures where you will be immersed in the wild and rugged scenery. Imagine the aromas you breathe in while you watch the sun setting over the Olympic Mountain Range with thousand year old trees hanging over sandy beaches at the edge of the coast.
Definitely an experience you don’t want to miss!
Thank you Drea for guiding us on our hike.

Since I only had about five hours to explore the Sooke area, Drea designed a tour that included all the beauty I wanted to see, including a short hike to the gorgeous China Beach, where we ate a delicious lunch she had prepared while watching the gentle surf roll in. Couldn’t have had a better time. Highly recommended.
My wife & I took a great day trip with Drea on our recent trip to Vancouver Island. We had a great time and very much enjoyed the day with Drea and her great dog Sage. After picking us where we were staying at the Soule Creek Lodge, we visited the big trees, including the gnarliest tree in Canada on both the upper & lower trails at Avatar Grove and then proceeded to beautiful Sombrio Beach where she provided a nice lunch on the beach. We truly enjoyed her company and knowledge in showing us some of highlights of an area we had not visited before. Sage is great fun too. Highly recommended!!
